IDz DB2 Tooling. Increase the DDL text limitation when viewing Native Stored Procedures DDL source in IDz. Currently capped at 32K bytes.

In order for IDZ 16.0.4 or greater to be an effective development tools for z/OS DB2 Native stored procedures, it must be able to process NSPs with DDL greater than 32K.  We have many if not most NSPs falling into this category

 

The following error is displayed in the IDz client when you try to double click on the stored procedure name from the "Stored Procedures" listing under the "Catalog" listing for the database. When you double click on the stored procedure name it should expand out the PROPERTIES, DDL, PARAMETERS, PACKAGES info below but instead the following error gets displayed and you can not view the DDL. We would like to be able to view a larger DDL >32K bytes of text without encountering an error or a truncated DDL. I understand this is a limitation in the underlying DB2 tooling that is imposing this limitation in IDz. Once the DB2 tooling has been updated to process larger DDL text > 32K please implement this in IDz.

Current Error displayed in IDz 16.0.5:
