Mixed Case Handling

Testing the Retrieve and Add functions ? actually moving
elements into and out of Endevor.
On the Retrieve Element screen it appears that some fields are case
aware (upper/lower case must match) while others are not. The Element
name, Target data set name and Target PDS member name must match case
with the mainframe (must be UPPER CASE). The other fields appear to not
be case aware and may be entered as upper or lower case. For the
Retrieve Element screen only this is confusing and an inconvenience.
On the Add Element screen, the same case aware fields exist. However on
the Add Element it is more than an inconvenience because if a lower case
Element name is entered Endevor will process the lower case name and add
the element with what Endevor calls a Bracketed Name (also called a Long
Name). I have not been able to browse, rename or extract data from these
Bracketed Named elements. The only thing I have been able to perform is
a delete.
