This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. We feel this is a valid requirement but delivery within the RFE 2 year window is not likely. Please resubmit in 12-18 months for reconsideration if still valid.
Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.

This RFE is consistent with our roadmap and is being considered for delivery in the next 2 year time frame. Thanks.
This RFE has been opened following APAR PM47829 which address a similar concern but only for PROCESSOR GROUP.
When an element is stored in ENDEVOR, you need to set ENVIRONNEMENT,SYSTEM, SUBSYSTEM,TYPE et PROCESSOR GROUP.
These information are already pushed to RDz during the connection.
It will be much better to suggest these information to the developer during a ADD rather than the previously typed values which is error prone and can lead to duplicate programs in SYSTEM/SUBSYSTEM where they do not belong.
A complementary RFE 11954 has also been submitted.
A program is stored in Endevor with a SYSTEM, SUBSYSTEM, TYPE, PROCESSOR GROUP.
When you RETRIVE It, these 4 fields are knowned.
When you do the ADD (after a change), these 4 fields filled with the rigth values (get during the receive). it is not normal not having
They are filled with the values of the previous ADD. It is a very good way to mistake
I was asked to open a RFE ans not a PMR, but i am sorry it a bug
The requested information was not provided and the RFE is being closed.
Can you please provide some clarifications before we can accept this RFE. Are the elements being extracted to z/OS projects or are you working outside of z/OS projects.
Also we would like to know what values are you expecting to see for the Add Element parameters:
- The exact same Environment/Stage values as for the extracted element
- The Environment/Stage that makes sense for the element according to the Endevor map (e.g. extract from PROD and add to DEV)
