RDZ- CARMA PACKAGE EDITOR

When in EDIT of a package, it would be a lot easier for those who are familiar with ENDV actions to be able to edit the paramaters in
the SOURCE PREVIEW window. Right now it is READ ONLY.

When creating a new package in RDz you can use the Endevor Package editor, which is the default editor. However, for users who are familiar with Endevor actions, package files can be opened with the System z LPEX Editor and the SCL can be modified directly. So when you want to edit the production package to perform a global change on the STAGE parameter, just right click on the file and use the Open With menu. Thanks.

Packages can contain many elements. When moving those elements
from a development stage to a user stage(acceptance), we are creating the package for the first time. When users are done testing changes and grant a move to production, you only have to create a new package name using the acceptance package as the input. Once created,
the production package will have to be edited because the STAGE has to change. Currently, on the host, when we edit a package we are in an SPF edit session. Here we can do a global change on stage, save the package, and cast it. In RDZ, we cannot edit in the SOURCE PREVIEW window. In RDZ, we would have to select each item individually, select edit, and change the STAGE parameter in the panel.
This is not user friendly nor efficient. Right now, once the production package is created in RDZ, we go to the host so we can do the global change on STAGE in the SPF edit session. If we know we are going to go back to the host anyway, we will not bother creating packages in RDZ, we will just go to the host. This defeats the purpose of using RDZ packaging. It would be more useful to have packages in RDZ open for edit in LPEX/SPF.
