Thank you for your interest in keeping IMS a vital and successful product. Software development has continuously evolved during IMS's lifetime, and so has IMS itself. We have kept pace with, adopted, and implemented many industry standard best practices within our organization, including Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking, and Agile.
When choosing new features to add from the list of requirements in our backlog, we assess which will bring the most value to as many clients as possible and prioritize those.
At this time, after reviewing this request for enhancement and assessing its impact, we decided to reject it. The reason we are rejecting RFE 46532 is that this enhancement does not align with our use case for IMS Catalog - the customer advocate has worked with the requesting client and is exploring an alternative solution.

This requirement has been in 'Need More Information' status since April 14 and the requested information has not been provided. As a consequence we have, unfortunately, closed this request to status Information Not Provided.

The additional information that you've requested can be stored in the IMS catalog today. You can store additional user information in the IMS catalog using the comment section on each DBD or PSB macro using REMARKS.
For example:
PSBGEN PSBNAME=BMP0001,REMARKS='[ZZ.IMS.BMPLIB(JOBBMP01)-JOBNAM01-BMP0001]'
