How to estimate the size of these pools in a mACB environment where there's no ACBLIB, DBDLIB nor PSBLIB.

Problem Description:

In an ACBLIB environment, ACBGEN output shows the estimated size of DMB, PSB, PSBW,

and EPCB pools indicated by DFS0940I, DFS0941I, DFS0943I and DFS0589I.

messages like as follows.

< ACBGEN output example >

...

DFS0940I DBD DBLOGC1 HAS BEEN ADDED IN LIBRARY. DMB SIZE = 00001600 BYTES

DFS0940I DBD DBOCTY1 HAS BEEN ADDED IN LIBRARY. DMB SIZE = 00002944 BYTES

...

DFS0943I PSB ZALBMP01 REQUIRES MIN OF 00032076 AND MAX OF 00032104 BYTES OF STORAGE IN EPCB POOL IF USING FAST PATH.

DFS0940I PSB ZALBMP01 HAS BEEN ADDED IN LIBRARY. PSB SIZE = 00028736 BYTES

DFS0941I PSB ZALBMP01 IF USING DL/I SEPARATE ADDRESS SPACE, CSA SIZE = 00028224, SAS SIZE = 00000000.

DFS0589I PROCESS COMPLETE FOR PSB-ZALBMP01. PCB = 0009488, PSB = 00028736, WORKAREA = 00001536, TOTAL SIZE = 00030272

DFS0593I PSB--ZALBMP01 WORKAREA BREAKOUT. NDX = 0000056, XIO = 0000008, IOA = 0000600, SEG = 000008,SSA = 000840

...

----------------------

Are there any alternatives to know the estimated size of these pools

in a mACB environment where there's no ACBLIB, DBDLIB nor PSBLIB.

Resolution Description:

We need an new estimation tool for these pool size in mACB and zDDL where's no ACBLIB, DBDLIB nor PSBLIB.

After reviewing this IDEA and assessing its potential value, our decision is to add this item to our backlog. Items in our backlog are expected to be delivered within the next 18 months. We reserve the right to re-prioritize our backlog items as new requests come in. This helps ensure that we are constantly focused on providing the best value to all of our clients.

    Have a great day!
