Include 45xx statistics records in the calculation of Average Checkpoint Duration, Average Checkpoint Frequency, and CPLOG count to the Checkpoint Summary portion of the Checkpoint Report.

IMS writes statistics records (45xx) at every checkpoint just before the checkpoint records (40xx).

I would like to see something like this:

Not critical – just nice – and really the true cost of a checkpoint.

That helps.  So the cost of a checkpoint is in the number of bytes, or do you mean that PA should set the start-time of the checkpoint when the first 45xx record is written, before the 40xx?  That would set the duration of a given checkpoint to be from the 4500 (Begin Stats) to the 4099 (Checkpoint End Queues), correct?

Yes – the checkpoint starts with the 4500.

The 4099 is only there for /CHE DUMPQ or /CHE SNAPQ.

Normally the 4098 ends the checkpoint.
