Enhancement Request: HP-DBAT Ratio Column in HP-DBAT Candidate Identification Report

Could we add a calculated HP-DBAT Ratio column to the HP-DBAT Candidate Identification report attached to this email.

The report already contains the required metrics:

  • Initiated from Remote Site (connections/min)
  • Commit Requests Received (requests/min)
  • Abort Requests Received (requests/min)

Proposed calculation:

HP-DBAT Ratio = (Commit Requests Received + Abort Requests Received) / Initiated from Remote Site

This aligns with IBM’s recommendation for identifying potential HP-DBAT candidate workloads, where a ratio greater than 200 may indicate workloads that could benefit from HP-DBAT processing.

If feasible, it would also be useful to:

  • Enable sorting by the calculated ratio.
  • Support filtering on the ratio (for example, HP-DBAT Ratio > 200).
  • Use the underlying, unrounded metric values in the calculation.
  • Handle cases where “Initiated from Remote Site” is zero.

This enhancement would allow users to identify potential HP-DBAT candidates directly within IntelliMagic, without exporting report data for additional calculations.
