Enabel the EPILOG in OMEGAMON z/OS in the future

Hi support,

In the PID - 5698-T01 , the lastest version in OM-z/OS V550, withdrew the EPILOG support from V530. In the document, the alternately method - RMF III near term history is instead. But we found the RMF III report only get the SYSTEM level info. We could not generate the JOB lifecycle report. (For example, DIS JOB(A*) in the EPILOG.)

But in the new version - PID - 5698-B66 , IBM Z OMEGAMON Monitor for z/OS 5.6 . We got the EPILOG support inside.

The customer request they deserved to use the EPILOG function in the future version of OMEGAMON for z/OS.

    Hello, Our Dev team responded with the following coments.
    The Address Space Bottleneck attribute group provides similar information to the DIS JOB report. In the TEP, you can display this data in the Address Space Bottlenecks Summary workspace. Configuring historical collection for that table, a user has the ability to view the data over time. The e3270UI displays real-time bottlenecks data, but does not have the option to display historical bottlenecks data.

    An enhancement is required in order to display the same historical data in the e3270UI. There are performance considerations with enabling the historical collection due to the volume of potential data.

    Hello, Thank you for submitting this Idea, we have assessed this product enhancement and have decided to reject this request. I'm sorry if this causes disappointment. The primiary reason is that we intend to also remove EPILOG from V5.6 in a future PTF. Please reach out if you have any questions or disagree with our decision.
