We have an issue from all areas of CICS people – System programmer, Support and User community to know what transactions call a particular file in CICSplex. We have several regions those are in Customized Groups in our TOM’S CICSPlex environment. We need to pinpoint what transactions are accessing a particular file. Also, we want to get more information such as file counts, programs that access the file.
We have looked of your current TOM and have not found anything for our requirement. It is important for any data center for quick problem determination.

Hello, we believe this function has been added to the enhanced 3270UI. 5.5.0-TIV-KC5-FP0003 PTF UJ01596 provides the ability to see which transactions have accessed a file can be selected when looking at task history. This can be used in the CICSplex task history for the entire CICSplex. We do show details of the files used and now the programs which have been used by the task. We do not show the specific programs which accessed each file, unless application trace is active. Please reach out if you have any questions. Regards IBM OMEGAMON Product Management
