We use TEPS for detailed monitoring on IMSPlex enviorenment. After a while some of Omegamon adress spaces started to use high CPU. We monitor region occupancy, global lock conflicts, region statistics from TEPS. Since these monitoring functions cause high CPU usage in Omegamon IMS address space, these monitoring functions should be eligible to exploit zIIP engines do decrease CPU consumption.

The PMR opened for this issue must be looked into more thoroughly because the areas you mention are not expected to be high cpu areas and do not warrant zIIP exploitation. We do know have a couple other areas in the product that could justify zIIP exploitation but not the areas you call out. I have asked your Lab Advocate Jeff Novak to work with L2 Support to ensure the needed documentation is obtained so we can understand the source of the CPU usage you are seeing.
