[RPP] DDL with clause "NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT constant"

In RPP, select option 'P' in CMS456 in dataaggragate -ce generate a clause NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT in the .ddl. NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT in DB2 allows inserting rows in a table without specify the value. A column with type integer or decimal would be intiatized to ZERO, with type CHAR to SPACE and so on. But DB2 allows to define a specific default value : NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT constant. For example : CREATE TABLE table_name (column1 INTEGER NOT NULL, column2 INTEGER NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT 100). So, the developer has not to code MOVE 100 TO column 2 before an INSERT. Specify "NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT constant" in RPP would be usefull in this case. Gilles

After reviewing this RFE we are rejecting this as we do not expect to deliver in releases within the next 18-24 months. If the RFE remains important to you please resubmit after this time.

A preliminary evaluation of this request indicates that it is consistent with our business strategy. Further evaluation of this RFE is underway.

In fact, is it possible to specify "NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT constant" in the pacblockbase, -dr...gg, between begin and end columns insertions

    With exemple in summary :

    <column2> ADD

    100

    And generated DDL :

column2 DECIMAL (00006) NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT

    100,
