Provide a digital signature option during the SMP/E build

We are required to prove that our software instances are patched and up to date. Can SMP/E (or a separate utility that can perform this function for a non-SMPE product) generate a digital signature containing a summary of hash values that represents a product? The signature would need to be able to be validated and queried, and possibly contain a name that would represent a description of the software (release, patch level, etc.).

Thanks for submitting this idea. Unfortunately, this is outside of the current scope/vision for the product. IZSAM does not collect the proposed hashed information because it would mean scanning SMP/E zones. Historically this has presented scale/feasibility/support issues due to the need of copying the SMP/E zones to every LPAR. This will be marked as "not under consideration" for now unless we can figure out a way to feasibility support a feature like this. Please reach out if you'd like to have a conversation about this.
