SMF record data streams currently have no options available alternative CCSID parameter to indicate the source CCSID

Customer is having problems with field User Name in RACF which is in Hebrew, all other fields are in English and transmitting properly.

They are using IBM Hebrew CCSID 424.

For SMF80DTA, the field can show garbage data for many cases, not just CCSID issue. The reason is that the data in the SMF80DTA/SMF80DT2 varies with each event code. In many situations, the data is actually binary data. In some situations, they are a mix of binary and character data. That is why we introduced a new SMF_080_X data stream that does a better "formatting" job.

However, SMF_080_X cannot address the CCSID issue. The reason is that CDP currently always assume the characters are in the native CCSID of 037. For some CDP data streams, there is an alternative CCSID parameter to indicate the source CCSID. But for SMF record, we currently have no options available.
