delete-trailing-blanks-in-data-receiver-csv-fields

Hi,

The data receiver component is supposed to be optimal for sending data to splunk, yet it sends lots of csv fields to splunk with trailing blanks.

Customer would like the tool to optionally delete trailing blanks from csv fields and hence properly optimise the data sent to splunk.

This was raised as a case yet r&d said working as designed - pretty dopey design.

regards Dave

based on Splunk etc being volume based cost ingestion tool, I think this is a great idea. Any savings that can be made on the volume of data to move about the organisation, and pay for logging into splunk has got to be a good thing. thanks for putting this up Dave
