This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This requirement has been re-assessed. It is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12-24 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
Thank you for submitting this RFE. This is consistent with our plans for the product and will be prioritized for future consideration.
A preliminary evaluation of this request indicates that it is consistent with our business strategy. Further evaluation of this RFE is underway.
How are you accomplishing this task today? What are the obstacles with your current approach?
We would like to adapt our development and deployment procedures, currently we are working on native z/OS. With zDT we see an opportunity to improve and modernize our development but we miss a tool or feature to help us to keep all "new zDT" environments with our common development LPAR (and last compilation). These are the obstacles: keeping all "clone zDT images" synchronized between them and even more important with "master development LPAR" because it is the central repository and where last compilation is compulsory. We have thought adapting our current tools, but is not a simple change as it changes the development paradigm, from a unique LPAR to multiple zDT images... so guaranteeing integrity and lifecycle (versions, changes, updates in modules) is critical and even more complicated. This is the reason on the RFE.
Any further explanation, please do not hesitate to contact me.
