zDT sync with native z/OS

As zDT is improving and increasing its capabilities and functionalities we would like to have a tool to synchronize changes made in zDT (development environments) into our master/native z/OS development environment ("sync back"). As last compilation has to be run on native z/OS we would like to synchronize back all changes made by development teams on zDT environments (COBOL modules modified at zDT) to maintain integrity on master/native z/OS LPAR repository.

This requirement has been re-assessed. It is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12-24 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

How are you accomplishing this task today? What are the obstacles with your current approach?

We would like to adapt our development and deployment procedures, currently we are working on native z/OS. With zDT we see an opportunity to improve and modernize our development but we miss a tool or feature to help us to keep all "new zDT" environments with our common development LPAR (and last compilation). These are the obstacles: keeping all "clone zDT images" synchronized between them and even more important with "master development LPAR" because it is the central repository and where last compilation is compulsory. We have thought adapting our current tools, but is not a simple change as it changes the development paradigm, from a unique LPAR to multiple zDT images... so guaranteeing integrity and lifecycle (versions, changes, updates in modules) is critical and even more complicated. This is the reason on the RFE.

Any further explanation, please do not hesitate to contact me.
