this is related GDPS CPC ops - need more clarity and tracking ability when IBM SA netview started , GDPS is initialized, CPC ops - why SA HW interface not able intialize properly, i hardly see any messages why its not connected, sometimes it shows green, all connected to CPCs this will help in identifying the problem , also to plan any standard actions like LOAD,IPL,ACTIVATE etc using GDPS panels.

this is related GDPS CPC ops - need more clarity and tracking ability when IBM SA netview started , GDPS is initialised for the CPC ops - why SA HW interface not able initialise properly, i hardly see any messages why its not connected, it would be great if we have a health checker tool for the CPC Ops hardware interface initialisation - especially to point out where exactly the problem and point if there's any missing definitions or in error, the debugging option for GDPS does not provide much info on where the issue is why its not connected status or the UNKNOWN status, as I understand AUTHW* auto oeprators are responsible for the the initialization of the CPC HARDWARE interface initialisation, and the clist INGRX805 is picked by these operators. even though all the required AUTHW* operators are defined and configured/authorized to run and all the things are inplace it hardly tells you why its not connected/UNKNOWN STATUS, excepting producing below message in the log :

GEO258W BCPII connection with local processor is not yet established

yes, a case has already been raised, but it didn't solved the problem.

    After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming release because it won?t be pursued within our planning cycle.

    We strive to have GDPS provide FFDC and need more clarity on this Idea as written. Some questions: (1) in what specific scenario(s) does this occur (what actions were taken to create the condition)? and (2) was a Case opened for this? thanks
