CICSPA should provide a field that give cpu time in service units

When we change our CPCs we are not be able anymore to compare transaction CPU consumption. All the datas we have stored before the change become unusefull

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Enterprise Tooling
    Product - CICS Performance Analyzer

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Enterprise Tooling
    Product - CICS Performance Analyzer

Yes, this is something we would like to do. The status of the RFE is being moved into Planned for a future release.  Please note the following:

    Hello Satish,
One of our customer is running his workload on 4 LPARs on 2 CPCs(a hight avalaibility environnement).
At the end of february we will have 2 LPARs on a EC12 machin.
I usually take the SMF records of the 4 LPARs to analyze the behaviour of the transactions. I use the transaction profiling feature and I won't be able to compare anything anymore.
I've heard there is information in SMF72 records
Could CICSPA handle SMF72 records in conjonction with SMF110?
    Regards
    Sylvie

Hello Jean-Michel, Can you please provide more detail on your comment re: CPUNITS. As you may know, in CICS TS 5.1 we already provide details on CPU time on Standard and Specialty Processors.

    regards,

    Satish

As we continue our consideration of this RFE, please provide details of use cases. How do you intend to do comparison reports. Would you first migrate your CICS environment to another processor, run workloads on the new configuration, collect SMF data in this environment and then run CICS PA reports on the old or new processor to compare the CPU consumption of the transaction is CPU units?

    or

Would you migrate the workloads to the new processor complex and start running the workloads and collecting SMF data. In this case, you would need to know the exact data and time the workloads started running on the new processor complex and CICS PA would need to take account of this.

    Good idea.
It would be usefull to include CPUNITS also.
Today, some billing are based on this unit of work and we are unable to estimate financial gain when we optimize some transactions.
