Currently, when CPSM connection needs to be restarted via the COLM transaction the associated long running tasks are now executed under the user id of the user that issued the COLM rather than the CICS region id.
The customer would like to have the following enhancement:
1. COLM or CICS be modified so the associated long running CPSM tx are started with the CICS region userid
or
2. Changes in future releases of CICS/TS so that a userid can be coded for starting these long running tx similiar to the USERID field in the CICS IP socket listener tx definition

This RFE is satisfied by CICS TS 5.4 which is generally available from June 16th 2017.
In CICS TS V5.4 the MAS agents run as system transactions and always under the region userid
For more information on CICS TS V5.4 see the announcement letter https://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/cgi-bin/ssialias?infotype=an&subtype=ca&supplier=897&letternum=ENUS217-113
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Transaction Processing
Product - CICS Transaction Server
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Transaction Processing
Product - CICS Transaction Server
We would also like the ability to specify the userid of the COLM transaction. We are currently considering using an automation technique to start COLM via a terminal so that we can assign the userid.
