Extending CICS SMF records with relation between transaction and programs

Hello,

we are currently looking into our application which transaction is calling which programs.

This is not easy to find out because there is currently no information about that relation in CICS statistics.

The CICS statistics already shows which programs and transactions are called. So we think it would be a great enhancement if there could be also a matching between transaction and program.

In these times applications are getting more and more complex and application developers do not know which programs are called in the whole execution chain.

This enhancement would make their live so much easier in terms of understanding what is going on in the whole chain. Especially when it comes to problem or performance topics.

Best regards

Edgar
