Launch CICS transactions from CICS Explorer / IDz

Eclipse has built-in support for launching applications with normal execution or for debug (launch and debug configurations).
It is possible today to setup debug profiles for CICS applications from Eclipse but starting the actualy transaction doesn't work. Instead, test clients based on CICS Transaction Gateway are developed to mimic the functionality. To really integrate CICS development with modern development practices it should be possible to launch the transaction right from Eclipse.

    We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. This functionality is provided in IDz, we have no plans to provide it in Explorer as well.
