Enterprise Cobol V6 - NUMCHECK(ABD): Generate the control code in the same instructions block

Whatever the chosen optimization level, the NUMCHECK(ABD) compilation option generates a part of the control code at the end of the program code, (the numeric class test is performed at the location of the Cobol instruction, but the call to the abend routine, IGZXSMSG, is generated at the end of the program).
When an abend is triggered following detection of non-numeric data, the communicated offset does not identify the current Cobol instruction if the program is compiled with the OFFSET option, and the dump analysis tool, (our is Macro4 DumpMaster), can not identify the source instruction concerned.
All the numeric class test management code should be grouped at the level of the code generated for the Cobol instruction, so that the abend address can correspond with the address associated with the instruction in case of compilation with option OFFSET.
The problem does not arise when compiling with the LIST option.

    Hi,

After further investigation, the code is laid out the way it is for performance reasons.
We recommend using the LIST option to achieve what you require for this RFE.

For the above reasons, this RFE is being rejected.
