HOD MAC algorithm support change

While using HOD to connect to Telnet hosts, we encountered a Telnet Host that had disabled HMAC-SHA1 due to it being based off an encryption algorithm (SHA1) that is no longer considered secure (even though HMAC-SHA1 is still considered secure due to the architecture of HMAC). It would be beneficial to have at least one additional MAC algorithm supported by HOD to overcome this situation.

We have evaluated this request and determined that it cannot be implemented at this time because it is not strategically aligned and there is a work around provided.

We have workaround for this requirement.
By using HTML parameter i.e. JSSECustomCiphers, you can make this work. Have you tried with that parameter?
