This feature was delivered in version 14.0.

HoD 12 always creates a desktop icon
Use case:
When opening a webstart client, HoD 12 always creates an icon on the desktop.
Customer would like to be able to choose whether they want an icon or not.
In the previous versions of HoD they prevented the icon by changing the jnlp file in the following way:
This does not work with HoD version 12 and above.
Translation:
Customer would like to be able to select whether a webstart client creates an icon on the desktop. Since the migration to HoD V12 webstart always causes an icon to be created.
With previous versions of HoD / Java customer was able to prevent this by changing the jnlp file:

Installation of the webstart client in HoD V12 always creates a desktop icon
Use case:
In previous versions of HoD we changed the jnlp files in this way
====> delete this line
to prevent the webstart client from creating a desktop icon.
Since HoD V12 this does not work any more.
A desktop icon is always created.

Per PMR 87389,077,724 it was
stated that "It is not recommended to modify the .jnlp files to
achieve what the user wants do to with desktop icon."
Based on the request we can provide GUI option to decide weather there
should be desktop icon or not .. As of not this is not implemented/not
available in HOD. That is what we are requesting RFE."
