Open big sysout whith IDZ

We have sysout with 500000 lines or more, and we can't open it with IDZ. For big sysout it is possible to add a function for open it at line n, or for search an particular string and open it a this line ? An editor similar to "Editeur de donnée System z" will be fine: 200 lines are show, and we can access to another 200 lines.

Did you know that you can expand a job, exposing the spool files, and then select a spool file and right-mouse-click->Open from line....
That will allow you to specify the start line and the number of lines to retrieve.

I'm using IDZ 14.2.3 default : JES Spool editor. For your sample, imagine than STEP DOUGLAS:CLONE:SYSPRINT as 500000 lines. If you try to open it, IDZ will be frizzed for a will. We need a solution to open line 1-5000, or 350000-355000, or 495000-500000. Like that it's done in "Editeur de données z Systems".

I am curious if you are using the LPEX editor or the JES Spool editor to view the job output. Unfortunately I was unable to view the attachments. Please see this blog https://community.ibm.com/community/user/ibmz-and-linuxone/blogs/blog-entry1/2020/03/13/introducing-the-jes-spool-outline-view and then let me know if it is the JES Spool editor that is unusable. Thanks.

Hello, I added an sample, see file Cature.jpg. In Remote Systems Jes spool I doubleclic on job J0032593. It open the spool in an editor (see file Capture2.jpg). But if the spool has a lot of line (500000) the editor isn't usable.

Hello - please provide responses to these questions to help us understand this request better: Is the file being opened a Job dataset, an MVS dataset or a UNIX file? Do you have an example of such a scenario we can try on our own systems?
