Request for a new function to record and store all input and output data at run time whether the test result is pass or fail

In Japan IDz users have not adopted zUnit. The reason is that they use COBOL Unit Test Tool before zUnit launch. COBOL Unit Test Tool is GBS IP asset and implemented as an eclipse plugin. However, they cannot use it with next IDz, because it uses DTCU which is no longer supported. Therefore, Japan team is going to propose to migrate to zUnit.

COBOL Unit Test Tool supports data editing using Excel spreadsheets and storing all data at run time and code coverage in an Excel book as unit test evidence. It is important for Japanese customers to store evidence as file containing all data at run time, and this requirement needs to be realized in zUnit. In current zUnit, data is recorded only when the test fails, so the result is not as good as COBOL Unit Test Tool. For this solution we request for a new function to record and store all input and output data at run time whether the test result is pass or fail.

If this request is reflected in IDz, the prerequisite for storing the test results in a file can be satisfied. Then, the function to store the test results in a file is planned to be developed as a new asset. In the future, we hope to add it to IDz features after use by multiple customers.

A preliminary evaluation of this request indicates that it is consistent with our business strategy. Further evaluation of this RFE is underway.
