Ticket question:

I am trying to download a list of JES OUTPUTS to my PC. I see you can export individual ones easily but dont want to do this for each one.

I tried highlighting all the output, clicking FILE>EXPORT>FILE SYSTEM>RemoteSystemsTempFiles> JESOutput, and selecting from here but not all the highlight outputs are appearing, only about 8.

Is there an easy way to download a list of output?

SOLUTION:

I spoke with development, this is indeed a limitation of this feature, Exporting from the JES filter in the Remote Systems Explorer view only works on one job at a time. You should open an RFE/Idea to do multiple through this link: IBM Ideas

To export from the File -> Export -> General -> File System does require each job to be opened in the RS view. When the job files are opened in the RS view, then a copy is placed in the workspace RemoteSystemsTempFiles folder. If they are not opened in the RS view, they will no reside in the workspace tempfiles folder.

    Thank you again for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Hopefully the suggestion for selecting multiple jobs was the solution that you were looking for, we'll be closing off this RFE idea. Feel free to reopen this RFE idea if there is more to your suggestion.

    Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us.

    In IBM Explorer for z/OS, it is possible to select multiple jobs from the RSE view > JES subsystem > right click > copy+paste to local file system from RSE view - 1 file for each job/file will be pasted to the local file system.
