This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

There are two different behaviours of an open editor window when terminating RDz directly or when disconnecting from host via remote system view.
Scenario 1: termination RDz directly while a changed source is open in the editor
> there is a notification: <source> has been changed - do you want to save the changes? YES/NO/CANCEL
> depending on the answer the editor remains open or closes with/without saving the changes
Scenario 2: disconnecting the host connection via remote system view while a changed source is open in the editor
> the editor window closes without any notification
> at the next time to edit this source a local copy is available
The behaviour of the editor in scenario 2 is critical, because if another colleague has continued to work on the source and then i will start editing i will overwrite his changes with my local copy.
Therefore the editor should behave as in scenario 1, because both, terminating RDz and disconnecting from host, are intended actions of the user and should have the same result concerning an open editor window.
