The request is for Admin Tool do a back up of directory and BSDS data sets (need to have all 4 in sync) whenever it does IMPORT DEFN. Also provide a way to find/show the backed up directory data sets (synchronized with catalog level) to allow recovery.

    The remaining items for this RFE have been delivered. All PTFs are listed below:

    • Backup & Restore, APAR PH36741 (PTF UI76015)

    • Auto-backup at IMPORT command, APAR PH38517 (PTF UI76962)

    • SMS class support, APAR PH41941 (PTF UI78614)

    • Comparison backup to IMS catalog DB before restoring, APAR PH43372 (PTF UI79898)

    A portion of the function for this RFE is complete. APAR/PTF PH36741/UI76015 support the backup and recovery of IMS directory and BSDS data sets (all 4 in sync.) The remaining functions are planned in 2H 2021:
    - Backup automatically when IMPORT DEFN command
    - Compare before restoring
