DDL and ACBGEN equivalent BLDPSB=YES

Using ACBGEN, if we want to make segment level change such as key length change, we use BUILD DBD=xxxxxxxx,BLDPSB=YES. This builds DBD and all the PSBs that use the DBD that we want to change.

With DDL, I understand that we can use ALTER to make segment key length change. I also understand we can use DROP/CREATE programview and rebuild the PSB. There is no option to find what PSBs needs to be rebuild for changing a DBD when using DDL.

    Hi Carl or Luxmi
    Thank you for your interest in keeping IMS a vital and successful product. Software development has continuously evolved during IMS's lifetime, and so has IMS itself. We have kept pace with, adopted, and implemented many industry standard best practices within our organization, including Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking, and Agile.

    When choosing new features to add from the list of requirements in our backlog, we assess which will bring the most value to as many clients as possible and prioritize those.

    At this time, after reviewing this request for enhancement and assessing its potential value, we have decided to reject it. We think it’s a great idea but we are rejecting RFE 126463 for the following reasons:
    1) The enhancement is a DDL related enhancement and right now our focus is on IMS Managed ACBs.
    2) We will not be able to get to this enhancement within 18-24 months which is the goal we have set for RFE deliverables as part of our IMS Gold program.

    We have put this enhancement on our future roadmap for DDL.
    You are welcome to resubmit this RFE at a later date if you like but we have noted it for our futures roadmap.

    We appreciate your input to IMS, and we hope that you will continue to submit ideas for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of IMS.
