ibm_db to be shipped with supported driver

IBM should ship the the ibm_db driver with their Python for z/OS.

Underway is a DBA modernization initiative where we are bringing in modern tooling and languages such as Python for z/OS and in particular the ibm_db library for communicating with Db2.  The problem I'm facing with installing the ibm_db library is that we currently do not have the XLC/C compiler which prevents us from installing the library since it must be compiled.

If we are unable to install the ibm_db library for Python, we may be forced to pivot away from Python and modernizing this space.

IBM has also shipped the IBM C/C++ for Open Enterprise Languages on z/OS 2.0. The product is a no-charge product with optional S&S. This I believe would work for your use case.

We will not be able to add the package to our compiler, however we will be discussing with our internal team that ships packages on the possibility, thanks.
