GDG allocation

Able to minimize the current default of selection for a GDG when not specified .>>example <<
When someone in-TSO - batch - Online specifies DSN=XYZ.ABC(+1) or G000V00 number is fine but when someone leaves off the GDG number..DSN=XYZ.ABC (mistake or not) and that GDG has 100 entries the results are not pretty.

Have the means to alter default of ALL GDG entries be selected , to a specified Limit..Global by Parm entry system wide, or by subsys, and have that number limit able to be adjusted via Set command.

Not an Advanced Audit for DFSMShsm (AAD) requirement. It’s a request for z/OS access management to provide an overwrite limit for GDG versions when the user doesn’t specify a relative or explicit GDG version via system parameter control. I have asked our administrator to transfer this request to the proper portal.
