When an ISV vendor has a comma in their name remove it before populating the IZSAM Db2 repository.

There are several ISV vendors with a comma in there company name and when you use the data extracted from IZSAM in CSV format this creates an issue when reading the file with another program.  If you were to scan the ISV vendor company name and remove the commas it would make the data from IZSAM more useful

    I understand this has been rejected and also understand the reasons.

    However, can an alternate solution be identified for the listed problem?

    In CSV format, if the data field is wrapped in quotes, this normally causes spreadsheet applications to ignore the embedded commas. Is it possible for the CSV extract process to wrap the column data in quotes?

    Hello, thank you submitting this idea. The Dev team have reviewed the details and have some concerns with removing the comma, as it can create unwanted changes in the names of the companies, where they might want it to be there as it is. In some cases, it might change the meaning of the name of the company, etc. Correspondingly this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months’ time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.     Hi,

    When using IZSAM extraction to CSV the data is presevered if the Vendor Name has a comma. As far as we re concerned the data extracted is correct. There is nothing stopping you removing the common once it's extracted.
