Status Future consideration

Update Synchronise process to advise the status of each stage and clearly highlight any failures rather than just having them hidden in the middle of the logs

This will be useful as it will provide a single location to identify if any parts of the synchronise process has failed. It will be of benefit to anyone who uses the synchronise process as it will enable either manual or automatic checking of the status of each synchronise process. It should work as a minimum by ensuring that the SynchroniseMembersProgress log file provides a status update after each stage with an overall status status check as the last entry. This would mean that instead of the file looking like this: ===================================== Members Synchronization Progress... ===================================== [14/09/2022 03:19] Parsing the configuration file... [14/09/2022 03:19] Validating the configuration file... [14/09/2022 03:19] Scanning libraries... [14/09/2022 04:50] Computing deltas... [14/09/2022 04:50] Updating members... [14/09/2022 06:31] Adding and removing members from the project... [14/09/2022 06:58] Nothing to remove from the database... it would look something like: ===================================== Members Synchronization Progress... ===================================== [14/09/2022 03:19] Parsing the configuration file... [14/09/2022 03:19] Validating the configuration file... [14/09/2022 03:19] Scanning libraries... [14/09/2022 04:50] ... completed successfully [14/09/2022 04:50] Computing deltas... Your request is currently in line with our product strategy and we have planned it for a future release of the product. Thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
