This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

We are trying to capture docs for a long running task that can run anytime in a CICS region but TNEW function does not work because of the limitation of the threshold apply to the entired CICS started task.

For example, transaction XYZ runs thousands of times per day, and normally uses much less than 1.0 cpu second. Occassionally, it might use lots of cpu (more than 3.0 seconds). The need is to trigger APA sampling for the long-running instance of this txn. However the threshold specified in TNEW applies to the whole CICS region, not individual txns. So specifying a threshold of 3.0 seconds doesn't help since the CICS region is probably already well past that consumption.
