CICS CM Agent Functionality

Currently the agent handles CEDA INSTALL, we would like to see it also handle CEDA DEFINE. We plan to use CM agent for our remote CICS region and having to manually NDM or xmit the CSD DEFINE commands to the remote site and then run batch job to submit them is rather cumbersome and therefore undesirable. if the agent is currently handled INSTALL then why can't it do DEFINE as well? The EXPORT dataset option should represent the remote CICS region with relevant information such as NDM or JES node or alternatively attached to the ISC connection like the INSTALL option configuration. We are implementing a spoke wheel approached using a single CM server and we prefer to have to have the DEFINE and INSTALL executed at the remote LPARs automatically via either batch or ISC connections or LU 6.2 term.

    CICS CM provides EXPORT/IMPORT capability to get resource definitions to target repositories. This also enables INSTALL of the PACKAGE resource into the target environment. Also, this is not something that has been raised by any other customers.
