Enhance CICS EXPLORER as 3270 & (ISPF) CICS PA 5.1 Plug-In - Allow Customized Report Form

1. Currently CICS Performance Analyzer "Plug-In" in CICS Explorer allows only Explorer x.x Report Form to be the Default and only ones available to display in CICS Explorer. Customization of the report by Adding or Removing Column headings of the Explorer template causes Problem. RFE:to use a non-Explorer approved performance template to configure the DB2 dataspace anyway you wish (you want to select the data columns) and still have the data accessible via the PA Explorer plugin."

2. Can you change the CICS Explorer to become like 3270 Emulator, so that we can access CICS PA 5.1 as in ISPF so that we can work from CICS Explorer to build report, rather than as an option todisplay to view report?

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Enterprise Tooling
    Product - CICS Performance Analyzer

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:

Many enhancements have been provided in the CICS PA 5.2 plug-in as detailed above. We also published a document on how to automate the loading of data to DB2 for use by the CICS PA plug-in.

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27041902

The CICS PA plug-in is intended to be complimentary to the ISPF and Batch interface of CICS PA to enable visualization of data and highlighting of problems using statistics and performance alerts. As such it is not
intended to replace the ISPF/Batch interface. Note that you can generate your report JCL and save it in a PDS and then use the z/OS explorer to submit the reports and view the output. You can customize your CICS PA perspective to include the z/OS Explorer views.

Please see my responses below as we consider these requirements:

    1. We are adding a lot more metrics to the HDB templates for CICS Explorer plug-in in CICS PA 5.2 which was announced on 7th Apr and will GA on 13th June. You customize layouts in the CICS PA plug-in to
work with the metrics that are of most interest to you. We have also provided a lot of visualization, charts and help information to enable understanding and reporting of key performance issues. It would be
interesting to get your feedback on some of these enhancements.

    2. Have you considered generating the JCL for these reports and saving it away so that you can submit these reports using the z/OS Explorer?. Do you need to build or change these reports on a regular basis
or can set of reports be generated and run on a regular basis.
