CICS PA – dynamic thresholds for transaction profiling

Currently thresholds have to be set manually in order to have the CICS PA alert function to work properly. These thresholds have to be changed frequently based on changes in software levels (z/OS, CICS, application) and hardware. We need to have the option to have these thresholds to be set dynamically to allow for proper alerting.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Enterprise Tooling
    Product - CICS Performance Analyzer

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Enterprise Tooling
    Product - CICS Performance Analyzer

Please provide detailed use cases. How would you use such a capability?. Would you run a CICS PA report with the selected set of metrics defined in a FORM and then use the output of this report to 'dynamically' build the alert definition?. I assume you are referring to Performance Alerts. A detailed explanation of how a user would execute such a function would help us understand this requirement. Note also that today CICS PA provides the CPUSU derived field which is CPU Service Units as calculated by CICS PA based on the hardware system where the SMF data was collected. This can be used for comparison of reports across two different hardware environments.
