Correct 0C1ABEND when running a batch DB2 application that has been mistakenly linked with the CICS-supplied DFHD2LI.

" Customer reports problem with a COBOL program compile/le/bind/run
using DYNAMIC option. An Abend-aid dump will show ABEND0C1in module
CEESTM00. This module does not exist in the CEEproduct code per IBM.
Root cause: CICS library containing DSN modules is linklisted, DB2
batch is using the linklist, and instead of finding DSNHLI pointing to
DSNELI, it's finding CICS's alias DSNCLI. This is causing the abend0c1.

The 0C1 that occurs when running a batch DB2 application that has been
mistakenly linked with the CICS-supplied
DFHD2LI (with aliases DSNCLI, DFHHLI, and DFHWLI), is not a very
helpful failure. I agree that it would certainly be more useful and
perhaps prevent the need for a service request to IBM if DFHD2LI
watched out for this mistake and returned something more meaningful,
rather than assuming that it was running in a CICS environment.
(Although I am not sure what SQL error would be appropriate and
meaningful in this situation. Perhaps even a little message would b
helpful.)

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in eighteen months time if you wish it to be considered then.
