Upgrades to the JSON GENERATE statement - JSON-CODE / root level

Currently, generating JSON using the JSON GENERATE command from a COBOL copy generates a root element, corresponding to the 01 level of the copy. However, this is not in compliance with the operation of most APIs and require a workaround. The JSON PARSE statement makes it possible to omit this element via the IS OMITTED phrase.
This statement can, moreover, return exception and non-exception code via the JSON-CODE and JSON-STATUS register, associated with runtime messages. This simplifies analysis and resolution of problems. These options are much more limited in the case of the GENERATE statement.

As a part of the “APIsation” of the Mainframe, and to facilitate interconnection between technologies, it would be particularly useful to improve the GENERATE statement on these two points to make it on par with the PARSE statement.

This is pretty much a duplicate of my RFE https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=131718.
