Workspace COBOL Compilers
Created by Guest
Created on Dec 14, 2019

Enterprise Cobol V6+ - use value of compilation variable in text manipulation with COPY / REPLACE directives

The COPY and REPLACE compiler-directing statements should accept the value of a compilation variable in text replacement operations.

This would allow the values of compilation variables to be used in the text of the program source code:
- to name variables
- to manage literals
- ...

This would be the beginning of the support of a macro language to facilitate the development and writing of source texts.
