RELATED IDEAS

Dynamically called programs as smf data

The cobol 6.4 runtime can deliver a report about the dynamically called programs. It would be nice if this information could also be exported as smf data, so that is would be more easy to run analysis about the usage of programs. Currently in smf it is only possible to find the main program as far as I'm aware.

    We have looked into this Idea and it does not seem possibly by the runtime. The COBOL run time cannot put out SMF records, only AUTHORIZED programs can put out SMF records. As a result, we will be rejecting this Idea.
