This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Since Enterprise Cobol V5, the >>CALLINTERFACE directive allows to modify the type of call declared by default by the DYNAM / NODYNAM compilation option.
However, it is not always possible to insert >>CALLINTERFACE directives into the source code of a program, especially when this source code has been pre-processed by the CICS or Db2 precompilers.
We propose that a new compilation option be implemented:
CALLINTERFACE (mode, list of entry points)
- mode: DLL, DYNAMIC, STATIC
- list of entry points: enumeration of entry points, possibly entry point prefixes
For the specified entry points, this compile option takes precedence over the DYNAM / NODYNAM option.
For the specified entry points, the generated code for a CALL is same as the code that would have been generated by preceeding the CALL statement with a ">>CALLINTERFACE (mode)" directive and followed by a ">>CALLINTERFACE" (to restore the mode defined by DYNAM / NODYNAM)

Hi,
We have investigated this further and we believe the user should use the >>CALLINTERFACE directive.
The user can put it in BEFORE the code is pre-processed by CICS or Db2.
Hence, this RFE is being rejected.
This RFE is being investigated further.
