This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.

We have a user reporting his observations of very high CPU consumption and running long for PGM=ISRSUPC when any kind of DPLINE control card is involved during comparing of two files.
The user says ISRUPC used to be a whole lot faster and consume very little CPU time, both with and without DPLINEs. However, I am raising an RFE with you on this..
Documented as best the users observation that SuperC in general consumes more CPU than ever before, most especially if any kind of DPLINE option is used.
Do you have a response as to why it used be good, now it's bad?
ISRSUPC should be improved when processing large datasets together with several DPLINE statements. This is a
limitation in ISRSUPC.

This RFE is one of a small group which had apparently been set aside incorrectly years ago and subsequently overlooked. We are sorry for the delay.
This request appears to describe a performance problem which should have been reported as a support case, accompanied by appropriate diagnostic materials. We are not currently aware of a general problem matching the supplied description and we suspect it applies only in specific circumstances.
If anyone is still having a problem matching this description with a current maintenance level of SuperC, please submit a support case specifying the High Level Assembler product (as the ISRSUPC SuperC tool shipped with ISPF is a repackaged copy of the ASMFSUPC enhanced SuperC from the HLASM Toolkit feature).
Regards, Jonathan Scott, HLASM and Toolkit

This issue is starting to become more intense,as testing as part of a project the user is working on is now picking up the pace. The user is complaining that comparing a simple file with no DPLINE input, no input at all for that matter, and his session is clocking and clocking for about 20 minutes now.
Could you please update on the RFE status?
Creating a new RFE based on Community RFE #69037 in product ISPF.
