This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

With browsers ending support for NPAPI plugins (with the exception of Internet Explorer, whose last version will be 11 and will seemingly be retired with the end of the Windows 10 support lifecycle), the direction is to move to using Web Start client pages in order for users to be able to use HOD.
There are business processes deeply ingrained and reliant on the use of HTML overrides in download and cached clients in order to fulfill specific, business-critical purposes. An equivalent of the use of HTML overrides should be made available with the Web Start methodology of .jnlp files downloaded to users' workstations.
Relying on clients to use Internet Explorer to support HTML overrides, which will increasingly be perceived as a "legacy" method and will present more and more problems to clients, especially closer to the EOL of Internet Explorer, does not seem to be the proper way of handling critical business requirements for host applications.
