Cobol Editor: Behavior of Manage Sequence Numbers

When you activate function "Manage Sequence Numbers" you can insert characters in position 1 to 72 without shifting the sequence number (position 73 to 80) to the right.
But when there is a character in position 72 and you continue to type you will overwrite or shift (depending on Insert or Overwrite mode) the sequence number.

We would like the editor not to change anything in range 73 to 80 when you start typing in range 1 to 72. The editor may stop your input or insert a new line and put your input there. Only when the Cursor is positioned in range 73 to 80 it should be possible to change the sequence numbers.

We also Need this restriction because when you do type and push the sequence numbers past line 80 and then try and delete the charachters less than 73 the charachters which pushed out the sequence numbers which are now in col 73 - 80 are not deleted so you have 2 do 2 delete Actions.

    Hello,
as this request is from 2014 the question: Is there an update available on the status? We do have a customer with 120 developers, where this is a major issue and any update is very welcome.
    Thanks and regards,
    Bernd
