Preference for blocking line length in PL1 and Cobol editor

We have some developers, which have a challenge some times they by accident add to much text to the lines, and when saving, it's truncated, since our Libarian/Endevor source repository only saves the first 80 columns of the source.

If would be nice if it was possible from preferences to limit how much text should be inputted into a line in either the Cobol or PL/1 editor.

    Hi,
We are running RTC 602 and RDz 951.
When a developer types Cobol source after column 80 with COBOL Editor,
the save action and the RTC check-in/Deliver are permitted.
When compiling with RTC, the translator ends in error with a truncation
    error message.
With LPEX, we can ask RDz not to save automatically if data is typed
    after column 80.
We need to manage that with COBOL Editor.
    Regards,
    Thierry

Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us; However, your request for enhancement is not currently aligned with our product strategy and vision and we have no plans to address your request in the near future. Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
