ODBM must be downward compatible between code and release levels

Our customers use ODBM which is a common service layer component servicing multiple IMS target systems. Currently if one of the target IMS systems is migrated to a new release and ODBM is not at that point migrated we lose access to the IMS system. the same applies if we migrate ODBM to the new release but not all target IMS systems we lose all access to those systems not yet on the new release.
ODBM should be downward compatible to enable connectivity to any down level IMS system.

    Hi Steve McAuliffe,

Thank you for your interest in keeping IMS a vital and successful product. Software development has continuously evolved during IMS's lifetime, and so has IMS itself. We have kept pace with, adopted, and implemented many industry standard best practices within our organization, including Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking, and Agile.

When choosing new features to add from the list of requirements in our backlog, we assess which will bring the most value to as many clients as possible and prioritize those.

At this time, after reviewing this request for enhancement and assessing its potential value, we have decided to reject it. The reason we are rejecting RFE ID 112404 is because given our current priorities, the solution suggested in the requirement is not viable for us in the next 18 months based on our analysis. In addition, with IMS 15 supporting continuous delivery, we see less value and the need to support this item in our long term strategy.

If you have further question, please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Thank you.
