This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Dear Mr. Eosze:
Thank you for submitting this IMS enhancement request.
After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming release because the request has a high implementation cost with a low relative value. As a consequence we have, unfortunately, rejected this request.
The userid of the last user to use a program, transaction or database is not currently stored in the resource control blocks. In order to display a userid on the QUERY commands, the userid would either have to be stored in the resource control block (PDIR, SMB, DDIR), or a block associated with the resource control block. To recover the userid across a warmstart, the userid would need to be logged with the rest of the control block information. Since we only store the definitional attributes of a resource in the IMSRSC repository, the userid would not be saved in the repository. The userid would be lost if IMS had to coldstart. The suggested changes could only be used to identify the users of a resource between IMS coldstarts. IBM does not see a business value in making this change at this time.
We appreciate your input to the IMS development team. We also hope that you will continue to submit ideas for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of IMS.
Sincerely,
Janna Mansker
