Rescheduling limitation of IMS deadlocked transactions

When an IMS transaction has a deadlock, it abends with an abend code U0777.
The input message is placed back at the top of the message queue and the program is reschedulled.
If the deadlock situation is repeated, the input message can get requeued and reshedulled indefinitely.
This causes new input messages to get hold in the queue because deadlocked transactions are being requeued at the top of the queue.

    Thank you for your interest in keeping IMS a vital and successful product. Software development has continuously evolved during IMS's lifetime, and so has IMS itself. We have kept pace with, adopted, and implemented many industry standard best practices within our organization, including Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking, and Agile.

    When choosing new features to add from the list of requirements in our backlog, we assess which will bring the most value to as many clients as possible and prioritize those.

    At this time, after reviewing this request for enhancement and assessing its potential value, we have decided to reject it. The reason we are rejecting RFE ID 64449 is because given our current priorities we cannot in good faith get to this within 18 months from the date that it is being opened. You are also welcome to resubmit this RFE at a later date and we will reconsider.
